Quality Assurance at Pos’tiv Produce
Pos’tiv Produce has an established Quality Assurance program at its processing facility in Allentown, Pennsylvania. We have an operating Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) system in place, which includes the following prerequisite programs to support HACCP.
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure that products are handled properly in order to guarantee high quality to the consumer.
- Documented sanitation program for production areas, coolers and docks to retard the growth of sickness causing microorganisms.
- Pest control services provided by a reputable outside company to reduce any risk of contaminants entering the processing facility.
- Training program which includes HACCP and GMP training for all new hires, and periodic food safety training for all existing employees.
- Product trace back program to allow product tracking back to the shipment
of raw product. Packages are tracked by lot code and can be retrieved
if necessary.
